Editor: Not long ago, one night, just north of Parlin, driving home to Gunnison on that straight stretch of Highway 50, a wolf bounded across the road, heading southwest from the northeast. I’ve never seen one in the wild but this was a wolf.

Editor: I am proud of our community for collaborating with GCEA and supporting the OBJ community solar array. It provides so many benefits, including helping to stabilize long-term electricity costs. There has been some misinformation about its impacts and, in response, I wanted to share what the data shows to be true.

We just completed the warmest November in history based on an average temperature of 35.62 degrees. I can find nothing close to this in the record books until 1912.
