The Gunnison middle school Cowboys brought the energy during a 10-minute halftime scrimmage at the final high school home game of the season. Splitting into offense and defense, with the defense sporting yellow scrimmage vests, the young athletes battled hard on every single play.
It was a competitive matchup as both teams came out fired up. Fifth-grade offensive player Cole Auer (#52) battled his way through defense's wall to score a touchdown, while fifth-grade defensive player Garrett Strauss (#3) delivered an interception.
