Adam Lee Hamilton, age 45, passed away in Crested Butte Sky View on Dec. 16, 2025. A proud native of Oregon, he was born to his mother and father on Sept. 14, 1980.

Adam was a man of many talents and a heart filled with love for learning, expression, music, art and especially the people around him. He was a self-taught musician who played the guitar and piano, a painter of landscapes and night skies and a craftsman who put his heart and soul into everything he created.

He attended Crested Butte Academy and Gunnison Valley schools, where he nurtured his love for learning as the process of evolution. Adam was a gifted mechanic, a skilled carpenter known for his precision and creativity and a painter of luxury homes. His passion for restoring antique cars and furniture led him to establish his own business, Hamilton Finishes and Restoration. It was never just a job for Adam, but a way to share his love for the arts and craftsmanship with the world.

Adam's generosity knew no bounds. He was always there for a friend in need, offering not just practical help but also a listening ear and a shoulder to cry on. His love for his family was immeasurable. He was a loving father to his 17-year-old son Collin, a protective brother to his sisters and a cherished uncle to his precious nephews. His love for people, in all their unique and diverse forms, was a testament to his generous spirit and warm heart.

Adam is preceded in death by his mother, Rhonda Louise Miller, and his sister, Alexandria Tenille Bannon. He is survived by his son, Collin Hamilton of Massachusetts; his father, Gary (Pops) Hamilton of Michigan; his sisters, Jessica Koppell of Alamosa, Jennifer (Jenny) Bannon of Denver, Tiffany Willaims of Battlefield, Indiana, Dalynn Trujillo of Crested Butte and Jackqualine Creed of Gunnison; and his brother, Christopher McEldowney of Michigan.
