Many ballot measures have ‘dark money right-wing group’ behind them

Last week the local GOP strongly asserted that it was immoral for Democrats to suggest that people vote against all the statewide ballot issues except Amendment 87 (the graduated income tax proposal) and Proposition NN (to retain TABOR revenues and use them for education).  This is understandable unless you read all the other ballot measures very closely.

The fact is that most of them were put on the ballot by a dark money right-wing group called Advance Colorado.  As you can read in the Sept. 13, 2026, issue of The Denver Post, “[Advance Colorado] mastered the ballot process with the help of a network of conservativ and largely secret donors and like-minded groups … a black box that takes in mostly dark money and churns out ballot measures that serve conservative donors’ economic interests.”

Advance Colorado spent millions of dollars hiring professional signature-collectors to get on the ballot and then spent more to spread disinformation about the measures.  They are trying to push their Project 2025 agenda onto our state: expand ICE power, block clean energy policy and avoid higher taxes for the richest Coloradans.

I hope our county voters will reject this attempt and vote only for Amendment 87 and Proposition NN of the statewide ballot issues.
