Friends, the election is almost here. With just days left, please get your ballot in. Many local and congressional races are decided by fewer than a hundred votes. Drop yours off at a drop box by 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
I also want to say why I’m voting for Phil Weiser for governor.
Phil has fought for Gunnison County for years. He stood up to the Texas Attorney General when he tried to bully us into looser COVID rules. He fought the Kroger-Safeway merger, which threatened our local food supply. And he has repeatedly stood up to Trump, protecting SNAP benefits, public health, public lands, and child care, programs many of our most vulnerable neighbors rely on.
Phil is also a friend. Working beside him on the Colorado Peace Officer Standards and Training Board, I’ve seen the seriousness and care behind his work. He brings integrity, compassion, and intelligence to every job, and he’s dedicated to governing for all of Colorado. We will be lucky to have him as our next governor.
Please join me in voting for Phil on Nov. 3.
