Business Spotlight: Meet Arrowhead Mountain Lodge’s hunters concierge

Posted

At Arrowhead Mountain Lodge, Chandlar Campbell serves as the lodge’s hunters concierge, helping guests feel welcome, prepared and part of the Arrowhead family.

“I want to build a program that makes hunters feel welcome and taken care of,” Campbell said. “It is a great opportunity for me to build relationships with guests and share my knowledge of the area.”

Campbell’s connection to Arrowhead runs deep. Her father has been coming to the area to hunt for 30 years, and she grew up hearing his stories and learning about the memories he made there. She has now spent 12 years hunting the area herself, developing an understanding of the terrain, animal behavior and patterns.

That experience allows Campbell to connect with hunters and locals while passing along knowledge she learned from her father and through years in the field.

Hunters staying at the lodge can turn to Campbell for local insight, including information about hunting spots, times of day, animal behavior and other practical considerations. The lodge also offers services designed with hunters in mind, including a hot meal and warm shower after a long day in the field.

For Campbell, those relationships can extend beyond a guest’s stay. One group arrived late during muzzleloader season feeling the effects of altitude sickness. After helping them get settled and feel better, Campbell stayed in touch throughout their trip.

They eventually harvested a bull elk and asked her to help pack it out. The experience turned into a lasting friendship, and they are now planning future hunts together.

“At Arrowhead Mountain Lodge, we don’t just give hunters a place to stay,” Campbell said. “We treat them like family.”
