League of Women Voters, library, plan book discussion

On Tuesday, May 12, at the Gunnison County Library, the League of Women Voters of the Gunnison Valley, in partnership with the Gunnison County Library, will hold a book discussion of How to Raise a Citizen (And Why It's Up To You To Do It). The book’s author is Lindsey Cormack.  

The book "focuses on helping parents and communities better understand their role in cultivating civic understanding and engagement for our younger generations." Celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States by tuning up your civics skills for yourself and for our community. All are welcome.

Refreshments are at 5 p.m., the discussion begins at 5:30 p.m. and the author joins at 6 p.m.
