I Bar Ranch kicked off its Summer Concert Series with May performances by Harmonic Funktion and Michael Franti & Spearhead. On deck is a slate of weddings and live, outdoor performances at its Western heritage branded event venue.
Located at 850 County Road 49, the ranch operates primarily as an event center focused on concerts, weddings and private events, serving as a gathering place for the Gunnison Valley, rain or shine with its big covered roof.
Bryan Wickenhauser, head wrangler at I Bar Ranch, said the venue’s mission is “to be an authentic and nourishing place/space for the Gunnison Valley to gather and create vibrancy through live music and events.”
According to Wick, the Summer Concert Series is intentionally designed to bring together residents and visitors alike while supporting local tourism and cultural vibrancy.
This month, the lineup features two main outdoor concerts under the Gunnison sky.
On June 19, Easy Jim will pay tribute to the Grateful Dead. The series continues on June 26 with Mountain Jam, featuring the music of the Allman Brothers Band. For both dates, gates open in the early evening so guests can enjoy the scenic ranch setting, with food trucks and beverage options available along with on-site overnight camping.
Future concerts in the series include Corb Lund, Asleep at the Wheel, MarchFourth, Little Feat and others.
In addition to its concert programming, I Bar Ranch serves as a premier venue for weddings and private celebrations throughout the summer season. The open-air space offers couples a stunning, authentic Western setting to exchange vows framed by sweeping mountain views.
With its unique blend of mountain scenery, live performances and event infrastructure, the ranch provides an inviting atmosphere that connects the community.
Tickets and camping reservations for the Summer Concert Series are available online at ibarranch.com/music.
I Bar Ranch is part of the Gunnison Country Times Community Connect sponsored content program.
