Gunnison County is inviting everyone to its County Community Cookout on Friday, Aug. 21, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the grassy area between Blackstock and O'Leary in downtown Gunnison.
The first 500 attendees will enjoy free burgers from CC's or free BBQ ribs from Jermaine's, along with free ice cream and soda/water. Beer and wine will be available for $2. Bring the whole family and enjoy an afternoon of fun, including Touch-a-Truck, face painting, bouncy houses, balloon tosses and music from a DJ.
County commissioners and staff will be on hand to visit with residents, answer questions, and share updates on important initiatives shaping our community. Attendees can learn more about the roads and bridges intiative, the Gunnison to Mt. Crested Butte corridor plan, emergency services, health and human services programs and other projects that impact our county's future.
