Posted

This fall, the Gunnison Arts Center is celebrating the season with a full lineup of spooky, creative and seasonal programming for all ages.

From visual and ceramic arts to adult dance classes and a special screening of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” there are plenty of ways to get creative while waiting for the snow to fly.

The festivities begin Saturday, Oct. 10 with Spooky Lanterns from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. as part of the Arts Center’s new Clay for Brunch series. Participants can enjoy breakfast foods and mimosas while creating in clay.

Later that afternoon, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., kids ages 7-15 can return for Spooky Clay Creations, an afternoon designed for young artists.

Oct. 22, the Arts Center’s Collage and Cocktails series with Barb Haas brings vintage papers, magazines and photographs to life. Participants will create whimsical characters while enjoying cocktails with friends.

Fall creativity continues Oct. 24 with Felted Whimsical Pumpkins, open to ages 10 and up. These colorful handmade characters make a fun addition to fall decor.

Oct. 30 at 7 p.m., the Gunnison Arts Center will screen the cult classic “The Rocky Horror Picture Show.” Guests are encouraged to dress up, enjoy candy and grab a drink from the Tom Morrow Bar while taking in the film.

The seasonal programming continues Nov. 13 with Fall Resin Creations from 5:30 to 7 p.m., offering an opportunity to experiment with materials and create something unique.

For those looking to get moving this fall, the Arts Center is offering adult dance classes beginning in October, including Burlesque, Whimsical Contemporary, Dancer-Size with Barron, Beginner Heels, Hip-Hop and more.

The Gunnison Arts Center invites the community to come create, express yourself and celebrate fall at the GAC!
