Arrowhead Mountain Lodge will welcome the community to explore its newly completed event spaces during an open house May 8 and 9, offering a firsthand look at the mountain destination designed for gatherings of all kinds.
Located at 9,500 feet on the Alpine Plateau between Gunnison and Montrose, the lodge’s new event center emphasizes connection and experience-driven gatherings. Flexible indoor and outdoor spaces are designed to accommodate everything from corporate retreats and board meetings to weddings, family reunions and community events.
“We wanted to create a space where gatherings feel more intentional and relaxed, where people can step away from the everyday and focus on meaningful experiences together,” general manager Bob Shultz said.
The main indoor event space accommodates up to 50 guests for presentations, dinners, meetings, retreats and wellness events. Additional features include a 12-person executive boardroom, a hospitality suite and breakout areas for smaller groups.
Outdoors, a landscaped lawn can host tented events for up to 150 guests, while an outdoor stage area can accommodate up to 200 attendees for live music, presentations and other programs.
Surrounded by forests, trails and expansive mountain views, the setting encourages guests to unplug and engage more deeply with one another.
“Being in this environment naturally shifts the tone of an event,” Shultz said. “It becomes less transactional and more about connection and shared experience.”
The open house will feature guided tours led by owner Jessica Amie or event planner Skye Reid, light refreshments and opportunities to explore both indoor and outdoor spaces.
Walk-ins are welcome, though reservations are encouraged. Attendees who book an event within 30 days of the open house will receive a 10% discount, up to $500.
