Editor:
September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, an important time to raise awareness, promote hope, support our communities, and normalize seeking help. Suicide can touch anyone’s life, and those who struggle with these thoughts deserve compassion and support. Listening without judgement and knowing how to connect someone to proven treatment and resources can make a difference.
Learning how to talk about suicide helps reduce stigma that keeps people from asking for support, and reminds us all that no one has to face their darkest moments alone. This month, and every month, join us in reminding each other that support, healing, and hope are always within reach.
