The Board of Directors of Legacy Family Ministries announces the resignation of Chief Executive Officer Wendy Solheim, effective May 31, 2026.
For the past five and a half years, Wendy has faithfully led the organization in its mission to serve families in the Gunnison Valley through the transforming love of Jesus Christ. During her tenure, Legacy Family Ministries experienced significant growth in its flagship ministry, Lighthouse Pregnancy Center, while also helping launch and support several family-focused nonprofit initiatives.
Under Wendy’s leadership, Antora Youth Ranch expanded from serving 12 youth to more than 175 participants across multiple programs. LEAD Homeschool Enrichment Program grew into a thriving program serving 47 children, and Shining Lights Learning Center helped meet an important community need through its Parent’s Day Out program.
“Serving in this role has been a sacred and humbling calling,” said Wendy Solheim. “I am deeply thankful to have walked alongside such a faithful board, staff, and community, united in strengthening families and protecting innocent lives. I have complete faith in our Lighthouse Pregnancy Center Executive Director, Molly Siegert, as she continues to build and expand the wonderful work at the Lighthouse in my absence.”
“We are incredibly grateful for Wendy’s faithful leadership,” said board chair Jonathan Jones. “She has left an indelible mark on our organization and our community.”
The board of directors expresses its sincere gratitude for Wendy’s years of service and leadership and looks forward to the continued impact of Legacy Family Ministries in the years ahead.
