Editor:
Colorado needs an Attorney General who is willing to protect families, defend the rule of law, take crime seriously, and restore public trust in our elections. That is why I believe David Willson would make an excellent Attorney General for Colorado.
Willson comes across as tough on crime, level-headed, and unafraid to address issues that many elected officials would rather avoid. During his remarks, he made it clear that protecting parents and children would be one of his priorities. Speaking about obscene and sexually explicit materials in public school libraries, Willson said, “Our job will be to protect you as parents and your kids.” He also said, “When I’m Attorney General for Colorado, I will deal with this problem and get the smut and porn out of the schools.”
That kind of directness matters. Parents across Colorado are tired of being told to “work it out” with the same school systems that allowed inappropriate materials to be placed in front of children in the first place. When concerns are brought forward, especially concerns involving children, they deserve serious review, not excuses, delay, or dismissal.
David Willson also spoke clearly about election integrity. “We can’t just deal with election integrity unless we address election fraud,” he said. Many Coloradans have raised serious concerns about ballots, voter addresses, and whether our election systems are being protected with the seriousness they deserve. When citizens bring forward evidence or questions, those concerns should not be brushed aside. Public trust depends on transparency, accountability, and a willingness to investigate.
Willson has also said he would bring the Attorney General’s office back to its proper purpose: a constitutional law office focused on the rule of law, not political ideology. He said he would tell staff, “This is a constitutional law office. Rule of law.” That is exactly the mindset Colorado needs.
This race is about whether Colorado wants more of the same or a real change in direction. David Willson has made it clear that he will stand for parents, children, election integrity, public safety, and constitutional government.
Colorado needs an Attorney General who will not look the other way. David Willson is that kind of leader.
