Editor:
This is an addendum to my previous letter on April 9th.
"Elizabeth Warren best reflects the values and priorities of the Indivisible movement." Words spoken by Ezra Levin during an interview he and his wife Leah Greenberg gave on Dec. 12, 2019, to Princeton's Politics and Polls #164. The talk was hosted by Princeton professors Sam Wang and Julian Zelizer. Professor Zelizer is also a political analyst for CNN.
That quote piqued my interest, so I looked up Senator Warren's values and priorities to see what that spotlight was all about. The condensed list contains the following: Reducing economic inequality (Does this mean DEI 2.0?). Increased taxes and regulations for corporations (We pay for those, by the way). Implementing a "ultra-millionaire" tax for those with a net worth of $50 million or more to fund childcare (The Senator and husband Bruce Mann have a net worth of around $8 million, so they're safe from her tax). Medicare for all (Hopefully just Americans). She supports the Green New Deal (Al Gore is happy). Cancelling student debt (Maybe work on cancelling the national debt first?). Wealth redistribution through taxation (Does that include her?). Advocate for government intervention to regulate markets (Problematic). Strong advocate for gun control in all its forms (2nd Amendment?). From heavy taxation to ending the filibuster to pass more anti-gun legislation. Ironically, she is also a staunch proponent of abortion (Not in the constitution), which in 2025 eliminated roughly 1,126,000 lives all in the name of women's healthcare. With all gun-related deaths topped out at 46,728, it appears that unborn babies are much less safe in their mother's womb than they are to getting shot in this troubled and mixed-up country.
A shout out thanks to Mr. Levin for giving us a glimpse to what he and his Indivisible friends and supporters have in store for us if they ever achieve that perfect trifecta of power they so crave in the democracy making of their choice. And to the good Senator Warren, have another cheap beer and video tape it again for us little people to show how much you are one of us.
