Engleman’s eyes set on college ball

Springing to new heights

The Gunnison CARA girls gymnastic team faced tough competition at Chalkbox Gym in Elizabeth this past weekend. Leading the way for Gunnison was Kailyn Japuntich, who took second in the vault with a score of 7.900 and third in the balance beam with a score of 7.300.

Gloomy skies produce gloomy results

The Gunnison U16 softball team — comprised of Gunnison High School softball players — found out during the Diamond in the Rockies tournament this past weekend that they have their work cut out for them prior to this coming fall. Gunnison lost all four of its games.

Delta downs Gunnison

Gunnison’s U12 softball team fought hard against Delta 2 last Wednesday at Jorgensen Park, scenes from which are pictured here. However, the home team fell 18-3. Gunnison will be back on the diamond tomorrow, June 15 to take on the Montrose Indians.

An arm that’s dangerous
