On April 12, Samuel L. Sorkin of Gunnison passed away. Beloved son of Lawrence and Laura Sorkin; dear brother of Elyse (Mark) DeVries, Michael Hyman (Durwood Whitten), and Anne Roy (the late Paul). Sam is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Sidney H. Dickinson passed away peacefully at his home in Gunnison on Thursday, April 12. He was born April 8, 1929 in Salida. Sid is preceded in death by his parents Richard Frank and Orphie Dickinson, his brothers Henry and Richard, and his son Michael.

Patricia "Patti" Ann Bouchard Bippus, 76, originally from Gunnison passed away in Fairbanks, Alaska on March 25. Patti was a loving mother to Stosh, Stanna and Stacia Bippus. She had two grandchildren Riggin and Conner Bippus and was a sister to Shirley Miller and Betilu Evans.

Garry P. MacKrell, 49, of O’Donnell Rd., Chicora, Pa., went to be with the Lord Sunday evening, April 8 surrounded by his loving family at the home of his parents following a brief battle with cancer.

Shaunalee Prather passed away peacefully on April 4. Shaunalee is survived by her husband Professor Tom Prather of Western State, brother Rod McKinnon of Ridgway and her sister Marilee Moore of Montrose.

Funeral services for Kay Irene (Farr) Ferro, of Ferro’s Trading Post in Gunnison, Colo., 81230, will be held April 20 at Ferro’s Trading Post, 3200 Soap Creek Rd. in Gunnison at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Blue Mesa Cemetery with a reception to follow. Kay was born Dec.

Lee Mull died March 27 at home with her family near, from ALS. She was 67 years old.

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Beverly Rae (Leonard) Field in Cummings, Ga., on March 14, just two months shy of her 77th birthday. She was surrounded by family on both sides of the veil. Denver Broncos Country will miss one of its most dedicated fans.

Edna Mae Fry passed away on March 13. Edna was born on Nov. 29, 1926 in Paonia, Colo., and moved to Gunnison at the age of 11. She married Keith Fry (deceased) on June 16, 1946 following WWII.
