William Eric Soerensen, age 67, “shuffled off this mortal coil” on Sept. 25 following a tremendous battle with pancreatitis. Born Nov. 8, 1950 in Princeton, Ind., he was the youngest of three children from Howard and Alice Soerensen.

Ina M. Gerkey Roberts passed away on Sept. 17 at the age of 84, following a two year battle with cancer. Born in East Prussia in 1934, her family fled to Germany ahead of the Russian invasion. While growing up in Germany she was a fashion model, dental hygienist, and librarian.

Ken grew up in the city of St. Paul, Minn. and spent the first 15 years of his working life in electronics manufacturing. Along the way, he met and married the love of his life, Shirley.

Dick, a long-time resident of Almont, passed away on Sept. 17 at 75 years old. Originally from Erie, Pa., he was a lifelong supporter of the Boy Scouts of America. Dick lived a life even rockstars dream of. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten. A memorial service will be held on Oct.

Kay was a wonderful woman who will be missed and cherished by her family and friends. Kay was a loving wife, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Kay was born in Springfield, Mo., on Sept. 21, 1945.

Edward Bartsch, 86, died Saturday, Sept. 1 at the Senior Care Center in Gunnison.

Joseph A. Doak sadly passed away unexpectedly on July 29 at 96 years young. Born to William Clarence and Alice Blanche (Magnan) Doak in Vancouver B.C.

Our dear brother Gerald J. Pralle passed away on Aug. 3 in Gunnison. Gerald was born June 1, 1933 in Breckinridge, Okla., the son of Delbert and Bertha Sattelmeier Pralle.

Marian Louise Hicks was born on July 1, 1926 to Franklin Gustavis Clark and Juanita Marian Platz Clark. She was the oldest of fi ve sisters. Marian grew up in the upper Tomichi Creek area with lifelong friend, George Means.

A memorial service for Marian Hicks will be held on Sunday, July 29 at 2 p.m. at Fred Field Center at the Rodeo Grounds. A full obituary will follow.
