William ‘Bill’ Joseph Lacy, Sr.

William “Bill” Joseph Lacy, Sr., age 86, passed away on Nov. 4 in Pueblo. He was born on April 6, 1932 in Crested Butte to Joseph Thomas Lacy and Mary Pasic Lacy. Bill’s father, Joe, followed his father Juri Lesac, to Crested Butte from Eastern Europe.

Charles Robert ‘Bob’ Irby

Charles Robert Irby, known to friends as “Bob,” passed away on Nov. 4 at the Gunnison Valley Senior Health Care Center. He was born to Bernard and Irma Irby on May 14, 1933 in Iola, Colo.

W. Russell Van Camp

W. Russell Van Camp, 71, born in Durango, passed in Spokane, Wash. Memorial service is Nov. 17 at 1 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Spokane.

Paul Guerrieri

Paul Guerrieri, a resident of Pueblo West, Colo., passed away on Oct. 16. He was born on Feb. 4, 1942 in Crested Butte to Albert and Louise Guerrieri. He graduated from Gunnison High School and went to college at Western Colorado University. He married Peggy L. Price of Olathe on Aug.

Louise D. Cross

Louise D. Cross, summer resident of Almont since 1984, died peacefully in her sleep at her home in El Paso, Texas on Sept. 26. She was born in El Paso on January 8, 1922. She met her husband Ralph there and became a supportive Army wife. She traveled the world, including all 50 states.

James “Jim” Lowell Dotts

“How lucky are we to have someone that makes saying goodbye so hard.” -A. A. Milne James “Jim” Lowell Dotts found peace in Sun City, Ariz., on Oct. 17 at the age of 84.

Paul Guerrieri

Paul Guerrieri passed away on Oct. 16. Services will be held on Nov. 3 at 11 a.m. at Saint Peter’s Catholic Church in Gunnison with a reception to follow at the Fairgrounds. Full obituary to follow next week.

Bonnie Sue Cook

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we inform you that we have lost our beloved wife, mother and friend, Bonnie Sue Cook. Bonnie lost her long fight against ovarian cancer early in the morning of Oct. 9. She was surrounded by her family in her home and was never alone.

Inez Baudana Albertella Digiuseppe

In the midst of the deadly Spanish-flu epidemic and seven years following the marriage of her immigrant parents, Costanzo Baudana and Rosa Migone, Inez Baudana Albertella Digiuseppe became their first and only child on Oct. 17, 1918. Life, however, didn’t go as planned.

William Eric Soerensen

William Eric Soerensen, age 67, “shuffled off this mortal coil” on Sept. 25 following a tremendous battle with pancreatitis. Born Nov. 8, 1950 in Princeton, Ind., he was the youngest of three children from Howard and Alice Soerensen.
