Truck owner, driver named as defendants
The truck involved in an accident that killed a well-known Gunnison man last summer along Hwy. 135 did not have functioning brake lights, nor did the trailer that it was towing. And the trailer’s turn signals weren’t operating. That much is alleged within the complaint of a wrongful death lawsuit brought by the widow of Dale Thomas against the truck’s owner, his company and the vehicle’s teenage driver. The suit was filed Jan. 26 in U.S. District Court in Denver by attorney Brian Weiss on behalf of Ellen Petrick.
