Stellar season may not be over

Western Women’s Basketball — History was made on Tuesday in Paul Wright Gymnasium, as fans piled in to watch the Western Colorado University Women's basketball team take on Dixie State University in round one of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) tournament.

It was only the second time in Western history that the Mountaineer crowd got to watch their team play in the RMAC tournament at home — the last time being during the 2011-12 season under head coach Latricia Trammell, where they made it all the way to the championship game before losing 87-78 to Fort Lewis.

Western finished that season with a 16-15 overall record (13-9, RMAC) and 8-4 home record.
