The West Elk Hockey Association’s girls U15 hockey team was back on the ice this past weekend, facing Summit and Air Force over the course of three days. While the Wolverines started off their weekend on a positive note, defeating Summit 2-1, it was their only win. Against Air Force on Saturday, Ellie Waters got things going early for West Elk, scoring with 10:06 left in the first period. That was the only puck that found the back of the net for West Elk, as Air Force’s offense and defense caught fire. The Wolverines were shut out for the rest of the game, falling 3-1.
