It’s no secret that this past winter brought a lot of big changes to the Gunnison Valley. However, we hit the ground running and got out in the market with our message of steep skiing and cool towns. The snow and outstanding conditions, while a little late in arriving, certainly helped as well.

Our primary focus is to drive increased revenues from overnight visitation. As a result, our success measure is evaluating lodging tax returns at the county and municipal levels. We’re happy to report that November 2018-March 2019 Local Marketing District (LMD) collections were up 9 percent compared to the same period the previous season. All municipalities also showed increased lodging sales taxes for the winter.
