Western Wrestling — A loss in a semifinal match that included three overtime periods kept Western Colorado University senior Brandon Supernaw from earning a national championship this past weekend. However, Supernaw still earned his second career All-American honor.

Western’s 2018-19 season came to a conclusion on Saturday at the NCAA Division II National Championships in Cleveland, Ohio. Western placed 24th as a team at the tournament and was led individually by Supernaw, who finished sixth.

Supernaw was one of four Mountaineer wrestlers to compete at the championships but the only to wrestle on Saturday.
