Titans defeat Rampart, fall to Chaparral

CBHS Hockey — The Crested Butte High School (CBHS) hockey team’s season came to an unfortunate end on Friday night. The Titans fell to Chaparral High School 7-4 in the second round of the state tournament.

Last Wednesday, the Titans punched their ticket to round two after dominating Rampart — in a packed Jorgensen ice arena — in the first round of the playoffs, defeating the Rams 7-3.

Graham Barrett got things going early for CBHS against Chaparral — scoring 41 seconds into the game — as the Titans raced out to a 1-0 lead.

Chaparral responded minutes later, before Joseph Stock gave the Titans the lead off an assist from Barrett — the last lead CBHS held all game.
