To spectators, it may seem strange to hear an athlete hasn’t washed his socks since the start of a winning streak. However, in sports, superstitions are a common practice. The same can be said for cowboys, who have a long list of superstitions they live by.
For example, a common superstition among cowboys is a twist on the old adage “you are what you eat.” A few years ago during Cattlemen’s Days, cowboys participating in the rodeo had a pot luck before that day’s competition.
