Roberta (Bobbie) Ann Anderson, passed away on Dec. 3 in her home in Gunnison after a short battle with lung cancer. She was 66 years old.

Bobbie was born on July 20, 1953 in Washington D.C. to Joseph and Dorothy Sherdian. She met her husband Roy and they were married Dec. 28, 1982.

In 1991, they moved to Gunnison and raised their two daughters, Karlie and Whitnie.

Bobbie was a girl scout leader for many years and worked at City Market for 25 years. Throughout the years, Bobbie touched so many lives. She was known for her kind and compassionate heart that brought smiles to so many people. Bobbie was an inspiring role model to many, and never failed to put others above herself.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Dorothy Sheridan, husband Roy Anderson, and grandson Trevor Ireland. She is survived by her brothers Joe Sheridan, John Sheridan, Steven Sheridan, Michael Sheridan, Bill Sheridan and sister Linda Schultz; her daughters Karlie Ireland and Whitnie Anderson; grandchildren Emily, Amber, Shane, Braxton, Joseph and greatgranddaughter Autumn.

For those who knew Bobbie know that she was a fighter, and never gave up on those she loved. Services will be held on Sunday, Dec. 29 at 2 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church at 523 N. Pine in Gunnison. A small reception will follow.
