Having spoken to Crested Butte Community School parents and Western Colorado University students, it’s no surprise to learn that liberal influence is increasing in public education. From climate change to human sexuality education (Colorado House Bill 19-1032) and pro-choice perspective to a low regard for the First and Second Amendments to the Constitution, public education is no longer basic reading, writing, science, history and math. It now includes inserting a liberal bias.

I’m not saying every liberal issue is in every public school, but it increasingly alarms parents when their children come home citing their teachers saying that it’s amazing someone hasn’t yet shot Trump, or when teachers lose professional decorum at school with sobbing and off-color remarks at the loss of a presidential election. It’s also disconcerting when children come home feeling sad and unimportant after being berated by a teacher because they don’t share their liberal view.
