Paul Guerrieri, a resident of Pueblo West, Colo., passed away on Oct. 16. He was born on Feb. 4, 1942 in Crested Butte to Albert and Louise Guerrieri. He graduated from Gunnison High School and went to college at Western Colorado University. He married Peggy L. Price of Olathe on Aug. 25, 1961 in Montrose; they had been married for 57 years. Paul worked different jobs as well as owned his own businesses. In 1975 Paul went to work on the fair circuit all over Colorado as well as Montana while still owning and running the Donut Factory & Deli in Paonia as well as the Sidewalk Café in Gunnison. He started as the paddock identifier and state tattooer and worked his way up to track superintendent and starter. Paul worked at the Arapahoe Park for several years before retiring. Paul loved to hunt and spend time with his family as well. Paul was blessed by three children; Dusty, Mitch and Rhonda, and his four grandchildren (grandsons Brett, Casey, and Chance and his granddaughter Cody). He is survived by his wife Peggy, his children and grandchildren as well as his mother Louise, brother John and his wife Jan Guerrieri. He is preceded in death by his father, Albert Guerrieri, and grandparents Charles and Mary Guerrieri. Memorial services will be held at Saint Peter’s Catholic Church on Nov. 3 at 11 a.m. with reception to follow at the Gunnison County Fairgrounds.
