If there was any doubt of that fact in the minds of Denver Post readers this past Sunday, an entire Perspective section capped with the aforementioned headline — a shot across the bow of the newspaper’s owner — likely laid it to rest.

The section appeared the day before another two dozen staff positions at the Post were cut amid orders to eliminate 30 jobs by July. And that on the heels of a cost-cutting move earlier this year in which the 125-year-old newspaper moved from its longtime headquarters in downtown Denver to a suburban office adjacent to its printing press.
