With the help of the largest single transaction grant in the history of Great Outdoors Colorado, The Trust for Public Land (TPL) announced Tuesday the final-stage closing of conservation easements that will permanently protect iconic swaths of working ranchland in the Gunnison Valley.

The protection effort, for land on the Trampe Ranch, was completed through three working-ranch conservation easements covering 4,377 acres in the Gunnison and East River valleys between Gunnison and Crested Butte.
