Kaycee Patricia Lynn Moss, 58, passed away on Aug. 31 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction. Kaycee and her husband were coming home from a doctor appointment in Gunnison when they were both in a tragic car accident on Hwy. 50, nine miles east of Gunnison, on the evening of Aug. 28. Her husband, Donavon Moss, passed away at the scene of the accident. Kaycee was transported to St. Mary’s and passed away only a few short days later.

Kaycee was born to Joe Lawrence Aicher and Marian Martha Inez (Osborn) Aicher on July 19, 1961. She was the oldest of four children: Joe, Mike and Jim Aicher.

Kaycee had three beautiful children: Lacie J. Burnett (Moss) of Gunnison, Steven K. Moss, Jr., of Grand Junction, and Therese D. M. (Haynes) Pamelow of Wasilla, Alaska.

Kaycee spent most of 37 years in Wasilla, Alaska., where she went to church and served God. She touched many people’s lives. Kaycee loved making people beautiful as a hairdresser of 15-plus years. Her hobbies were gardening, sewing and doing things for her kids and family. Her biggest joy in the world was having all her family together. Her favorite holiday was Christmas.

Kaycee moved to Colorado in October 2017 and soon after fell in love with her best friend, Donavon Moss. They were married May 25, 2019. They loved to go on short trips together. Kaycee went from “pretties and makeup” to a “Junk Guy’s wife” and ranch worker. She found so much joy in all of it all the way until the end.

A celebration of life for Kaycee will be held in Wasilla, Alaska., at the Wasilla Bible Church on Sept. 21 at 1 p.m. A dual memorial for Donavon and Kaycee will be held in Gunnison, Colo., on the same day.

Kaycee is so loved by so many people and will be missed very dearly. She may no longer be here on Earth but she is watching over each and every one of us.
