A much anticipated update to the Gunnison Valley’s 2016 Housing Needs Assessment shows that we are making progress in what at times may seem like an unwinnable battle.
For instance, at the north end of the valley, 84 ownership units and 33 rental units have been built in the last three years. At the south end, it’s 115 ownership and 13 rentals, with another 15 ownership units built in what’s described as the “Mid Valley.” And that’s not including projects currently under construction or in the “pre-development” phase.
