Helen (Flynn) Bartlett, 75, of Gunnison passed away on March 14. The sixth of eight children, Helen was born on July 17, 1942 in Brooklyn, N.Y., to John and Alice (McNulty) Flynn. She grew up in Lawndale, Calif., and graduated from Saint Mary’s Academy in Inglewood and later from Antelope Valley College in Lancaster. She worked at Plant 42 in Palmdale and TRW in Redondo Beach, but being Mom and Nonny was her greatest joy and true calling in life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Mike, Charlie, Jack, Steve and Chris; and her oldest daugher, Kelly. She is survived by her sister, Catherine (Dwain) Thayer; brother, Terry Flynn; daughters, Pamela (Tom) Stoeber and Carol Bartlett ; Richard (April) Bartlett; and grandchildren, Jacob, Chad, Cody, Joshua, Hannah, Mary, Rachel, Joseph and Rylee.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m., Rosary at 10:30 and Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 5 at Saint Junipero Serra Catholic Church in Quartz Hill, Calif.

She will be laid to rest next to her Kelly at Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Palmdale, Calif.

Her smile, laughter, sense of humor and loving heart will be remembered by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.
