The 1980s Los Angeles Lakers — arguably the greatest team from arguably the greatest era in professional basketball — put forth such glorious performances on the hardwood, their home games became known as “Showtime.”

The old Inglewood Forum was their theater. And, like “Hamilton” during its Broadway run, entrance to the fabled arena was the hottest ticket in town.

Well, my friends and neighbors, if you haven’t already heard, I’m telling you we have our own version of Showtime happening this season within the confines of the Gunnison High School gymnasium. This season’s boys basketball team is not to be missed.
