A carrot or a stick?
That’s the question Gunnison city leaders have faced surrounding substandard dwelling units.
City Council has approved spending $35,000 from its strategic implementation reserve in hopes of incentivizing property owners with a program to deal with structures deemed “dilapidated.” The amount is included in the 2020 budget, approved on second reading Tuesday.
