GHS Track and Field — With two meets left this season for the Gunnison High School (GHS) track and field team, time is running out for athletes to qualify for the state meet on May 16.

Currently, the Cowboys have seven athletes and four relay teams qualified for state — an impressive feat in comparison to last season, when GHS had only three athletes and one relay team qualify for state.

Additionally, the Cowboys have three athletes who are right on the cusp of qualifying. In order to qualify for state, athletes or a relay team must place in the top-18 in an event.
