Mountain Roots Food Project, the Gunnison Valley nonprofit that does all things local food, is famous for its parties. If it’s a Mountain Roots’ party, you can expect beautiful food and beautiful women — women who are leading the local food movement.
This Friday, Sept. 13 beginning at 5:30 p.m., Mountain Roots’ hosts its second annual Harvest Hoedown in Gunnison. Like the harvest itself, this party celebrates abundance — the abundance of local food and the abundance of local support Mountain Roots has received this summer. It's a party for the community, and if you want to feel a party equivalent of a warm hug, then don’t miss it.
