Candis Wood Bradshaw, 74, of Amarillo, Texas passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, Aug. 31. Memorial services were held Wednesday, Sept. 4 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel with Pastor Robert Brown officiating.

Candy was born on Aug. 24, 1945 in Big Spring, Texas to J.T. and Daisy Wood.

She graduated from Amarillo High School and received her LVN license from Amarillo College.

She married the love of her life, Jimmy Bradshaw, on Friday, Sept. 13, 1974 at Paramount Baptist Church. Candy and Jimmy moved to Gunnison, Colo., in 1986 and lived there until returning to Amarillo in 2006.

Candy was very active in Middlepoint Community Fellowship and loved Jesus and spreading the gospel to everyone. She loved and cared for everyone she met and was truly loved by all. She doted on her family and grandchildren. Candy will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Danny Wood, and her nephew Adam Wood. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy; two daughters, Angie Shuttlesworth and husband Jason, and Phuong Thi (Mary) Tran; four sons, Robert McDonald and wife Rachel, Luke Bradshaw, Jason Owen and wife Caryn, and Michael Herrington; seven grandchildren, Benjamin, Moriah, Trishia, Whitney, Amber, Troy and Kayla.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Middlepoint Community Fellowship Food Pantry.
