Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper signed this past May a law that allows municipalities to enact a local ordinance permitting bicycle riders to "roll through stop signs.” The measure allows for a so-called “Idaho stop” on the part of cyclists, and oh my, is this subject ripe for some sassy analysis.

The “roll through” law did not say "bikers" can roll through stop signs. Bikers often ride around on Harleys, in gangs, on their way to South Dakota, and they’re probably "locked and loaded." Bikers stop at stop lights and stop signs, basically leave people alone, and some are right-wing ultra-conservative flag bearers, who don't take crap from anyone.
