If you cannot solve a problem, enlarge it.

Sounds ridiculous, I know. How could fixing a problem ever result from making it bigger?

This nugget of wisdom is attributed to Dwight Eisenhower. The 34th president of the United States — an accomplished Army general before becoming a statesman — had a penchant for being as effective as he was efficient in his day-to-day, according to followers of his system of organization and time management.
