A recent article in the Times by Alan Wartes on the Colorado State Water Plan piqued my interest — because of a possible solution to the state’s water shortfall that the plan leaves unexplored.

Superman beware. The superhero may be more powerful than a locomotive, but whether he can withstand the elements as does polyurea — a protective coating used by Gunnison-based Global Linings for a multitude of applications — is questionable. Global Linings has coated the insides of manholes from Pennsylvania to Rhode Island. It’s lined a rainwater collection facility that feeds an underground reservoir in California. The company has completed projects in Alberta, Canada, and provided “blast mitigation” for the military.
