Sen. Udall visits Gunnison to talk with stakeholders

It has all been said before. The Gunnison Sage-grouse isn’t warranted for protection under the Endangered Species Act (ESA) . The Gunnison community is a model for preservation. And “listing” the grouse under the ESA will only stifle attempts by communities elsewhere to protect imperiled species. These were the messages delivered to Colorado Sen. Mark Udall Tuesday in a dirtfloored pole barn at Burt and Sandy Guerrieri’s Mill Creek Ranch north of Gunnison.
